Rajnandgaon. National Science Day was celebrated in Digvijay Mahavidyalaya. Educationist Dr. Hemlata Mohbe was the chief guest in the program. Principal Dr. KL Tandekar presided. Dr. KA Subramaniam, Director of Zoological Survey of India and Dr. PR Chandelkar, Principal of Pench Valley Post Graduate College, Parasia District Chhindwara were the special guests. Dr. HS Bhanra, Senior Scientific Officer, CG Forensic Science Lab, informed about the various dimensions of career for the students in the field of Forensic Science. Along with this, he gave interesting information about the working of police and forensic team for various crimes.
The Chief Guest Dr. Hemlata Mohbe said that the students should build the country and society by the diversity of their life, career and behavior according to the spectrum of Raman Effect. As a special guest, Zoological Survey of India scientist Dr. KA Subramaniam interacted directly with the students by connecting through online. He said that along with bookish knowledge, emphasis should be laid on practical knowledge of science and useful experiments for the society.
Dr. PR Chandelkar, Principal of Parasiyan Postgraduate College, said that the only means to free the society from superstitions and evils is the propagation of science and the spread of scientific consciousness. Principal Dr. KL Tandekar said that the science club of the college is spreading scientific inspiration not only among the students but also among the people in the village and society.
Here are the winners of the competitions
Various competitions were organized in Digvijay Mahavidyalaya on National Science Day. In which first Karuna Sahu, second Devika Sahu, Payal Patel, third Dhananjay Sahu in favor of debate competition and first Anjali in opposition, second Devesh Meshram, third Yogita Devangan contest’s judge Dr. HS Alreja, Vinay Masiyare, first Chitralekha in improvised speech competition, The second Alisha Ansari was received by the third Than Singh. In the poster competition, first Than Singh, second Anjana Sahu, third Tanuja, in the inter-departmental seminar competition, first statue jewelry and Reema Devangan stood second.
