IPC President Andrew Parson changed his Wednesday’s decision after today’s executive meeting and informed about the ban on players from both countries. Although he had said 24 hours ago that players from Russia and Belarus would be able to participate in the competition without using their country’s flag, identity and color, but now he said that due to the current situation and heavy pressure from the member countries. He had to change his decision.
The Winter Paralympic Games are to be held in Beijing from March 4 to March 13. Around 70 Russian players were expected to participate in it.
