The network of expressways is increasing in the country and in this sequence many major cities have been connected with many new expressways. People are getting the benefit in the form of easy transport, while on the other hand, they have to suffer due to toll tax. The situation is such that if you go through the toll-free road, it takes almost double the time and if you go through the toll road, the cost doubles.
New rule on expressway.
Many effective measures are being taken to make the expressway more secure, but a new ban has just been announced on all these measures.
The National Highway Authority of India has issued a gazette notification saying that two wheelers, tractors, tractor trolleys, three wheelers, bullock carts and other slow moving vehicles are prohibited in any form on the expressway.
If in any situation such vehicles are seen running on the roads of the expressway, then they can be fined up to ₹ 25000 and action can be taken till the vehicle is seized. Some such checking campaign has been started on Delhi Meerut Expressway where heavy fines are being imposed on the drivers.
Succeeded 2 times costlier.
It is safe to walk on the expressway, as well as if we talk about the budget, then people have to complete the journey by paying 2 times the toll tax as compared to the toll tax levied on the normal road, due to which people have to face additional burden in the journey. We have to do the same, the process of increasing the fare in commercial vehicles is going on.
