Jaipur . Section 144 of CrPC has been imposed in Kota, Rajasthan from Tuesday to April 21 to maintain law and order in view of upcoming festivals and screening of ‘The Kashmir Files’.
In a circular of Kota Collector Rajkumar Singh, it has been said that Section 144 will remain in force in the district from 6 am on March 22 to 12 noon on April 21.
In the circular issued on Monday, it has been said that there will be a ban on gatherings, protests and road marches during the said period.
This order will not apply to government programmes, covid vaccination etc.
The order further states that posting and dissemination of unnecessary, disturbing facts through social media has been banned. Action will be taken against violators under section 188 of IPC.
Meanwhile, ‘The Kashmir Files’ director Vivek Agnihotri tagged Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur and tweeted that if democracy is vandalized by the state due to a film on the hashtag Right of Justice, we should stand for justice. What should I think about?
He also tagged Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and said that Dear Ashok Gehlot ji, the strength of terrorists is only that they create fear and we are afraid.
