The 22nd match of IPL 2024 was played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders at MS Chidambaram Stadium on Monday. In this match, KKR team could score only 137 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs. In response, CSK won the match by scoring 141 runs for 3 wickets in 17.4 overs. Ravindra Jadeja was chosen player of the match for his all-round game.

All-rounder Ravindra Jadeja took 3 wickets against Kolkata Knight Riders. He dismissed Angkrish Raghuvanshi on the very first ball of his first over. Jadeja also took the wicket of Sunil Narine in the same over. Jadeja walked Venkatesh Iyer in his next over. His bowling analysis was 4-0-18-3. Jadeja also took the catch of KKR captain Shreyas Iyer in the same match. This is his 100th catch in the 17 year history of IPL.
Ravindra Jadeja has been playing in this tournament since the first season of IPL. He has played 231 matches in IPL since 2008. Apart from scoring 2776 runs, Jadeja has also taken 156 wickets in these matches. Jadeja’s performance was so amazing that when MS Dhoni left the captaincy of CSK, this all-rounder got the command of the team. Dhoni himself has given Jadeja the nickname of Sir Jadeja.
35 year old Ravindra Jadeja is jointly fourth in terms of taking most catches in IPL history. Virat Kohli has taken the maximum number of catches, 110. Suresh Raina (109) is at second and Kieron Pollard (103) is at third. After these three are Ravindra Jadeja and Rohit Sharma (100).
