A Tesla Model S owner in Finland decided to blow up his electric car with dynamite with an effigy of Tesla CEO Elon Musk. According to the Daily Mail, Tuomas Catanon blew up his Tesla S Model 2012 with 66lbs of dynamite.
Because its battery broke down and the mechanic handed over a $22,000 bill to the Tesla owner to fix it. The report said that instead of depositing cash, the 26-year-old approached local Youtubers to blow up the car.
Finnish YouTubers agreed to blow up Catanon’s car and even put a dummy inside the motor with Musk’s face on it. The car was tied with explosives over rough, snowy terrain in Katanen’s native Finland, with Youtubers recording full video of the car being blown up by high-definition cameras on the car.
Told so much cost on Tesla service center
Another Tesla owner in the US was told that a battery pack replacement at a Tesla service center would cost him $22,500. However, he took it to an outside garage, which provided a replacement battery for $5,000. Notably, the report also noted that Tesla’s warranty covers battery replacement if the capacity is less than 150,000 miles, or 70 percent within eight years of purchase.
