Through this, the facility of providing new electricity connection on a missed call will be available within 12 hours in urban areas and within 24 hours in rural areas. The company has issued mobile number 7404040625. Under this scheme, a resident of any district of the state will have to get a new electricity connection, he will make a missed call on that number from his mobile or landline number. As soon as the missed call is received, the message will reach the applicant’s mobile number and the local authority staff will contact the applicant directly. Giving information about this, the company’s executive engineer city SP Kumar said that to make the state number one in electricity, the company is launching new schemes and is also providing facilities to the consumers. This big facility for new connections has started from Tuesday. Now people will also get freedom from the variables of offices. Connection facility will be made available in urban areas within 12 hours as soon as missed call is received. As soon as the message arrives, the officials will contact immediately and provide a demand note on the spot. A time limit has also been set for this. For providing connection facility to the consumers in less than 12 hours, the officer employees of the said area will also get incentive. Apart from this, another new facility has started, he said. Now consumers will not have to worry about the correction of electricity bills. The reading system is also being revamped. The electricity bill of any consumer will not be allowed to be generated in this new reading system more than what is coming continuously. Bill can be made up to twice the electricity bill of any consumer, but if it increases more, then the bill will not be generated at all. The bill will be issued only after the investigation of the officers of the department. Due to this, even the unintentional bill will not reach the consumers and the bill will be improved. He said that this facility has also started. Consumers will be able to pay electricity bill instantly. Real time billing facility.
Barcode in the bill from this month-
Executive Engineer SP Kumar said that from this month, barcode facility will also be there in the electricity bills of the consumers. Any reader will have to go to the consumer’s house and take the reading. Bills will not be generated in such new facility for making sitting readings from any other place. Leaders will have to take the first reading at the consumer’s doorstep in any case. Instructions have also been given to all the leaders for this.
Pay the bills or else action will be taken-
Executive Engineer Kumar said that some consumers are still negligent in payment of electricity bills. If the pressure of the company increased, then pending payments from government offices have started. Private consumers have also started paying, but some consumers are still negligent in paying electricity bills. Electricity bill will be recovered in urban areas by running a campaign in the month of March and the connection will be disconnected pending payment. He told that now the system of bill payment will end for the whole month. The payment has to be made by the 15th of the month in any case.
