Jaipur. Monsoon is raining heavily in Rajasthan. Many areas of the state received heavy monsoon rains on Sunday. More than five inches of rain (127 mm) was recorded in Kotdi area of ​​Bhilwara. According to the Meteorological Department, this phase of rain will continue in the state. Today, there are chances of very heavy rains in some districts of Mewar, Vagad and Marwar from east to west. These include Udaipur, Banswara, Dungarpur and Sirohi districts. Apart from this, a yellow alert has been issued for normal to heavy rains in the entire state.

According to the Meteorological Department, the low pressure area has weakened today and has turned into a circulation system. It is present in northern Chhattisgarh and its surrounding areas. The monsoon trough line is passing through Kota and Bikaner today. Rain activities will continue in eastern Rajasthan for the next five-seven days. During this time, there may be heavy and very heavy rains in some places in Kota and Udaipur divisions.

Heavy rain warning in eight districts
There are strong chances of heavy rains in the Jodhpur division of western Rajasthan from today onwards. Rain activities will increase further in the state in the first week of August. Today, while very heavy rains are expected in four districts, heavy rains have been forecast in eight districts. These include Bhilwara, Chittorgarh, Jhalawar, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Barmer, Jalore and Pali. Normal to moderate rains are expected in the rest of Rajasthan.

Torrential rains frightened Bhilwara and Pratapgarh

Due to heavy rains, three feet of water came on the culvert in Haripura Shyamu village of Namana area of ​​Bundi district. Due to this, its connection with other villages was cut off. There was heavy rain in Pokaran of Jaisalmer as well. There was scattered light rain in the capital Jaipur.
