Car companies have launched new cars in the market to attract new customers and slowdown in the current automobile market. Some of these have managed to grab the attention of new car buyers more than others. Some of the newly launched cars have very long waiting periods and some not too long. 1. Mahindra XUV700 – Upto a Year
Mahindra XUV700, which is an SUV segment car, was launched in India in October 2021. Since its launch, it has got more than 75000 bookings. There is a huge backlog of orders due to heavy demand and demand supply gap due to which the waiting period of Mahindra XUV700 is more than one year. As a result new customers will have to wait for more than a year which is very high as compared to all other vehicles for sale in India.
2. Tata Punch – Upto 8 Months
Tata Punch was launched in India in October 2021 and started enjoying success with the launch. Tata Punch, which is a micro micro-SUV car, has become the second best selling car of Tata currently. Talking about the waiting period, new customers will have to wait for 8 months.
3. MG Astor – up to 4 months
MG Astor was launched in the Indian market in October 2021. The MG Astor is one of the most technologically advanced cars that one can buy in India. Definitely the best value-for-money car in the SUV segment. New customers will have to wait for 4 months for MG Astor.

4. New-gen Maruti Celerio – up to 3 months
Maruti Suzuki launched the second generation Celerio in India in November 2021. The new hatchback is claimed to be the most fuel efficient petrol car in India and for us Indians, how much mileage , is a matter of very heart. The waiting period for the new-gen Maruti Celerio is between 2 months and 3 months.
5. Volkswagen Taigun – around 2 months
Volkswagen launched the Taigun, a new mid-size SUV, in India in September 2021. This is the second car based on the ‘MQB A0 In’ platform after the Skoda Kushaq. The waiting period for Volkswagen Taigun is a little over 2 months.
