Panaji. The Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that Goa will remain in the grip of severe heat wave till April 8, in view of which the state government issued an advisory for the people on Tuesday. The state government has said that the Directorate of Health Services of Goa has issued an advisory regarding extreme heat/heat. If you are feeling symptoms of heat stroke, immediately seek help from the nearest health center or district hospital.
State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane posted this advisory on his social media account. The government has advised people to take various precautions when going out of the house during the day, besides drinking enough water and avoiding dehydration.
The advisory states that although a person may experience heat discomfort and other problems at any time, some people are at greater risk than others and should be given extra attention.
Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department said that the weather remained dry in the state on Tuesday and the maximum temperature was recorded at 33.6 degrees Celsius.
