New Delhi: Bharatiya Janata Party has reacted to Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh getting bail in the alleged liquor scam case. Party’s national spokesperson Shehzad Poonawala, on Sanjay Singh getting bail, said that today it has been proved that the allegations that AAP used to make against ED and investigating agencies of taking action out of revenge were completely wrong. Poonawala said that Sanjay Singh got this bail because ED did not oppose it.
Poonawala targeted Aam Aadmi Party
BJP’s national spokesperson said that ED not opposing Sanjay Singh’s bail plea means that after today, AAP does not have the right to say that ED is taking malicious action. Questioning the claims being made by Aam Aadmi Party leaders after Sanjay Singh got bail, he said that if getting bail means acquittal for AAP, then it also means that the AAP leaders who They are not getting bail, they are guilty.
Supreme Court grants bail to Sanjay Singh
Shahzad Poonawala said that if the arguments given by Aam Aadmi Party leaders on the bail granted to Sanjay Singh are to be believed, then today AAP is telling that due to not getting bail, Arvind Kejriwal is guilty in the liquor scam, Manish Sisodia and others are in jail. Their other leaders are also guilty. Let us tell you that the Supreme Court on Tuesday granted bail to Sanjay Singh in the money laundering case related to the Delhi Excise Policy scam. Earlier, ED had said that it has no objection if Singh is granted bail in the case.
Sanjay Singh will be released from jail after 6 months
The bench of Justice Sanjeev Khanna, Justice Dipankar Dutta and Justice PB Varale ordered the release of Sanjay Singh, who was in jail for 6 months. The bench said that the AAP leader can continue his political activities but cannot make any statement regarding the matter. Singh’s release comes at a time when AAP is facing a leadership crisis ahead of the Lok Sabha elections starting on April 19. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia are lodged in Tihar jail in connection with this case. (IANS)
