Top News Today March 2 2022: The Bombay High Court will on Wednesday hear the plea of Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik seeking quashing of the ED case registered against him. Malik was arrested by the ED last week in the money laundering case involving fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim. He is in ED custody till March 3. He had filed a petition in the High Court on Monday. It claimed that his arrest was illegal. He had demanded immediate release. On Tuesday, his lawyer Tarak Syed mentioned the petition seeking urgent hearing before a division bench of Justices SS Shinde and NR Borkar. The court was informed that the regular bench of Justices PB Varale and SP Tawde nominated to hear criminal petitions would not be available this week. Then Justice Shinde said that his bench would also not be available on Wednesday. He said the matter would be listed for hearing on Wednesday before a bench of Justices SB Shukre and GA Sanap.
