Japanese automaker Toyota has introduced the new limited-run special edition Commander of its famous sport utility vehicle (SUV) Fortuner. Based on the regular model, this special edition SUV will be available for sale in limited numbers only. In this, the company has made some cosmetic changes which make it even better. The special thing about this SUV is that the company will sell only 1,000 units of it.
In the Fortuner Commander, the company has also updated its suspension with minor changes. Currently, this SUV has been launched in the Indonesian market, it is expected that it will also be introduced in the Indian market. Coming to the design front, the bumper and skid plate get a silver and chrome inset black color finish. Apart from this, the same alloy wheel has been included in it, which is found in the Legend model.

Talking about the cabin, the interior of the Fortuner Commander comes with dual-tone dark red and black leather upholstery. Which is similar to the Fortuner Legend offered in the Indian market, although the seats do get more detail inserts. The Fortuner Commander also gets a few extra features over the standard SUV including a 360-degree camera, blind spot monitor and a rear cross-traffic alert.
Engine Capacity:
There has been no change in the engine mechanism of the Fortuner Commander, it remains the same as the regular model. The company has used a 2.4-liter diesel engine on the same lines as the regular model, which generates a strong power of 150hp. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed automatic transmission gearbox. Let us know that in the global market, the Fortuner comes with two engine options, which include 2.4 liter and 2.8 liter diesel engine.

Toyota has tweaked the suspension of the new Commander Special Edition, and the company claims that it offers better ride quality than the regular Fortuner. Toyota has already introduced the Fortuner Legender in the Indian market, although no information has been shared about whether the Commander model will be introduced in the market here or not.
