New Delhi: Delhi Police on Sunday arrested a 15-year-old girl for stabbing her neighbor to death over a fight over water from a public tap in Delhi’s Farsh Bazar area. Police said that the victim was a 34-year-old woman. He suffered several injuries on his left hand and was stabbed in the stomach with a knife.
According to Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Surendra Choudhary, a PCR call came at 10.59 pm on Friday, in which the caller said that his wife had been stabbed in the stomach and needed an ambulance. Acting on the call, the police team reached the location of Street No. 2, Bhikam Singh Colony.
Police reached the spot and found Soni injured in his house. There were two-three cut marks on his left hand and a small wound on his stomach. Soni was immediately taken to Hedgewar Hospital where doctors declared him dead. Investigation revealed that Soni and her husband Satbir had a fight with their neighbours.
Police said that at around 7.30 in the evening, Soni had a fight with his neighbor’s wife and daughter over water from the tap on the first floor of their house. During the altercation, Soni twisted the girl’s hand, due to which the girl had to be treated at Hedgewar Hospital.
The DCP said, ‘After this, the girl and her mother returned to their home and again clashed with Soni and her husband Satbir. During this, the girl attacked Soni with a knife. The girl has been arrested and will be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board on Monday.
