Summary
At the UNHCR, India said that Pakistan has neglected the fact that it has become a victim of its own policies to support terrorist organisations.
India lashed out at Pakistan in its reply to the United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) on Tuesday. India said Pakistan’s efforts to raise bilateral issues in multilateral fora and engage in propaganda against India are not new. But, these have become increasingly more desperate, baseless and malicious.
Targeting Pakistan, India said the country’s top leadership has openly admitted that its military and intelligence agencies have created terrorist groups and prepared them to fight in Afghanistan and Jammu and Kashmir. Still it dares to comment about human rights in India.
In the UNHRC, India said that the culprits of the 2008 Mumbai terror attack have not yet been punished. The world still remembers the horror of the 2016 Pathankot terror attack. India further said that we all know very well where the people who carried out these terrorist attacks come from.
During this, referring to the Pulwama attack carried out by Pakistan’s terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed, he said that Pakistan has failed to fulfill the global demand to end terrorism here. It is a safe haven for terrorist organizations that violate human rights and right to life in our region.
