New Delhi. Yogi government is soon going to fulfill the dream of housing more than one lakh people. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, the construction of 1 lakh houses will be completed soon. Along with this, 8,200 houses under construction against 1 lakh 8 thousand houses approved under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Gramin will be completed soon. The state government has included it in the 100-day action plan. Prime Minister Modi’s vision is that everyone should have their own house. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is engaged in realizing this vision. In the last five years, a total of 26.16 lakh houses have been approved under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. 25.16 lakh houses have been built. The remaining one lakh houses will be completed soon. At the same time, 1.08 houses are approved under the Chief Minister’s Housing Scheme-Rural. Under this, Musahar, Vantangia, leprosy patients, Sahariya category have been sanitized. Cluster construction is being given priority.
The target of the government is that in the next five years, 13 lakh eligible families should be allotted houses like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana and 1.5 eligible families under Mukhyamantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. The government is also doing women empowerment under this scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin and Chief Minister Awas Yojana-Rural, 78 percent of the houses have been given in the name of women.
Uttar Pradesh has been rewarded for this. In 2018-19, the state got awards in 6 categories for doing excellent work in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Rural. At the same time, in the year 2019-20, the state has got the National Award in the highest number of 9 categories in the country. At present, Uttar Pradesh is first in the country in the performance index of the Government of India.
