Lucknow. In the midst of communal violence in many parts of the country, Gyanvapi Masjid, Shahi Idgah Mosque of Mathura, Taj Mahal and Qutub Minar controversies, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, a large group of Muslims, has decided to hold a big meeting in Deoband, UP on May 28 and 29. . 5000 Ulama from all over the country will gather in this meeting. All these issues can be discussed in this. Resolutions on all controversies and communal violence can be passed in this meeting. Maulana Mahmood Madani, the number two leader of Jamiat will preside over the meeting. Madani had given a big statement on the Gyanvapi issue in the past.
Maulana Mahmood Madani had said that Muslim organizations should not interfere and make rhetoric in the matter of Gyanvapi Masjid. He had said that the organizations only need to help the Masjid Arrangement Committee which is fighting the case in this matter. Madani also asked Muslims not to bring Gyanvapi and other issues on the road. Madani had also said in the statement that some mischievous elements wanted to create a rift between Hindus and Muslims on the pretext of such cases. In such a situation, Muslims should maintain restraint. He had expressed hope that the Masjid Committee would fight the case with its own strength.
In contrast to this statement of Mahmood Madani, the chief of Jamiat is Maulana Arshad Madani. He has not yet given a statement on the Gyanvapi issue, but in the past he has been criticizing the government in similar cases. Generally Maulana Arshad Madani makes a lot of rhetoric on the issue of Muslims. Whereas, Maulana Mahmood Madani is always seen advocating unity in the society and the integrity of the country. Now everyone’s eyes are on whether there is a harmony of views between Arshad Madani and Mahmood Madani in this big meeting of Ulema and whose opinion is expressed by a large part of Ulama.
