Lucknow. Mission Shakti Abhiyan of the Yogi government is making the whole dream of half the population come true not only in society but also in politics. Be it assembly elections or body elections, the Yogi government gave women the honor of leading by giving them full power in every election. In the civic elections of UP, the Bharatiya Janata Party fielded six candidates for the post of mayor. All of them achieved the distinction of becoming the first citizens by winning. Like the results of the examination, in the mayor’s election, the woman who got the most votes and won with the most votes was also a woman. At the same time, the command of 44 and 90 city panchayats of the municipality was also in the hands of women. In Chief Minister’s city Gorakhpur, Haqikun Nisha, who was nominated as a candidate from the Bharatiya Janata Party, hoisted the victory flag by getting 2227 votes from Baba Gambhir Nath ward.
Maximum votes for Sushma and maximum victory for Sunita
The Bharatiya Janata Party fielded women in six of the 17 mayor seats in this election. The BJP won all these six seats. CM Yogi Adityanath campaigned on all these seats. Sushma Kharwal from capital Lucknow, Hemlata Diwakar from Agra, Kamini Rathore from Firozabad, Pramila Pandey from Kanpur, Sunita Dayal from Ghaziabad and Archana Verma from Shahjahanpur got the distinction of becoming the first citizens. Sunita Dayal of Ghaziabad became the mayor with the maximum number of votes. Sunita defeated BSP candidate by more than 2.87 lakh votes. Sushma Kharwal of Lucknow got more than five lakh votes. The biggest victory so far from Agra was also in the name of female mayor Hemlata Diwakar. He defeated BSP by more than 1.08 lakh votes. Kanpur’s Pramila Pandey won with over 1.77 lakh votes. Shahjahanpur’s Archana Verma won by 30 thousand votes and Firozabad’s Kamini Rathore by more than 26 thousand votes.
The command of the municipality in the hands of 44 women of BJP
Out of 199 seats in the Nagar Palika Parishad, the results of 198 have come. Out of this, the Bharatiya Janata Party won 88 seats. The command of 44 out of 88 seats came in the hands of women presidents. CM Yogi’s appeal paid off. Amethi, Amroha, Unnao, Kannauj, Kushinagar, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Kaushambi, Ghazipur, Gonda, Noida, Jalaun, Jaunpur, Jhansi, Deoria, Fatehpur, Balrampur, Bahraich, Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Mainpuri, Rampur, Lalitpur, Bijnor, Sonbhadra And one each in Hathras, Etah, Pilibhit, Firozabad, Bareilly, Sitapur, two each in Banda, Badaun, Bulandshahr and three each in municipal council president’s seats were won by women on behalf of BJP.
BJP’s 90 women became Nagar Panchayat President
Similarly, the Bharatiya Janata Party also placed bets on women in the election of Nagar Panchayat presidents. Election results came for 543 out of 544 Nagar Panchayat seats. Out of these, lotus bloomed on 191 seats and women managed to win on 90. Amethi, Amroha, Ayodhya, Azamgarh, Auraiya, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Kaushambi, Pilibhit, Bareilly, Lakhimpuri Kheri, Santakbir Nagar, Varanasi, Siddharthnagar, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Noida, Chandauli, Banda, Barabanki, Bhadohi, Farrukhabad, Meerut, Hardoi , Hathras, one each in Maharajganj district, Moradabad, Hamirpur, Kanpur Dehat, Kasganj, Jaunpur, Shahjahanpur, Gonda, Sambhal, two each in Saharanpur, Agra, Gorakhpur, Jalaun, Aligarh, Deoria, Fatehpur, Ballia, Basti, Mainpuri , Rae Bareli, three each in Firozabad, four in Kushinagar-Pratapgarh, five seats in Badaun were won by women on behalf of the BJP.
Maximum 5 in Budaun and BJP president on all three seats in Firozabad
Bharatiya Janata Party won maximum 5 seats in Nagar Panchayat President in Badaun. BJP’s women candidates won the Guldiya, Rudayan, Kunwargaon, Mudia and Dahgawan seats in Badaun, while four seats each went to women candidates in Kushinagar and Pratapgarh. There are total 3 seats of Nagar Panchayat in Firozabad. BJP’s Rekha, Maya Devi and Geeta Devi won all the three seats (Fariha, Eka and Makhanpur) respectively.
