Yogi’s strategy worked
After the clean sweep in the civic elections, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s strategy worked in the Legislative Council by-elections as well. The Chief Minister had saved his own and allies’ MLAs to feed Kamal on both the seats and defeat Akhilesh Yadav’s devious moves. On May 28, after the inauguration and meeting of the new Parliament House in New Delhi, the Chief Minister directly reached Lucknow and discussed with the MLAs and prepared a blueprint for victory. It was due to the management of Yogi Adityanath that both the seats came to BJP’s account and SP candidates Ramkaran Nirmal and Ramjatan Rajbhar had to face defeat.
