This year, the Ministry of Medical Health and Family Welfare has given National Quality Assurance Certificate to 81 medical units of 46 districts for providing quality health services to the district hospitals of the state, which includes 43 district level, 16 community health centers and 22 primary health centers. Are included. Other medical units of the state have also been awarded NQA certificate.
SBA training is being given to reduce maternal and child mortality rate.
Yogi government will increase the capacity of ANM, LHV (Lady Health Visitor), staff nurses, AYUSH women doctors deployed at the delivery centers of the state to provide 100% safe delivery facilities to pregnant women in the state and reduce maternal-infant mortality rate. Skilled Birth Attendant (SBA) training has been promoted for. Its main goal is to reduce the maternal mortality rate per lakh deliveries, which is 167 according to the National Family Health Survey-5, to 70 by the year 2030. Similarly, the neonatal mortality rate (per one thousand live births) is 28, which has been targeted to be brought down to 12 by the year 2030. About five thousand ANMs, LHVs, staff nurses and AYUSH women doctors of the state were given SBA training.

This year, the Yogi government took major steps towards the construction of Medical Device Park on about 350 acres of land in Yamuna Authority, Bulk Drug Park on about two thousand acres in Lalitpur and Jewar Medtech Park. Apart from this, more than 1838 MBBS seats were increased in government colleges in the state and more than 2150 MBBS seats were increased in the private sector. Also, more than 7 thousand nursing and more than 5 thousand paramedical seats were increased. 22 new medical colleges are being constructed in the state. The construction of some of these will be completed and some are in the final stages.
KGMU and SGPG received many gifts
Kidney transplant, which was stopped due to some technical reasons in KGMU, has been started again. A total of five patients have undergone transplant here this year. Apart from this, a pet scan machine which plays a very important role in the detection of cancer has been installed in the campus. At the same time, OPD for IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) was started in Queen Mary. Due to this, infertility patients have got relief from going to private institutions. The special thing is that this treatment is available in medical colleges for around Rs 35-40 thousand, whereas in private institutions it charges lakhs of rupees. This year, 15 emergency beds were increased in SGPY. The current year was good for Lohia Institute. The hospital was completely merged into the institute. A new emergency unit was built in the institute. Pathology and radiology tests were also started in emergency. Thalassemia patients got the gift of ward. At the same time, a 300-bed hostel was also inaugurated in the Maternal and Child Hospital premises of the institute. Modular pediatric ICU and maternal ICU are also ready. For the first time this year, OPD for IVF (In Vitro Fertilization) was started in the campus.
