Russia finally waged an all-out war against Ukraine today, attacking it by land and air from the south, east and north. Ukraine has suffered tremendous losses in this attack. According to reports, 40 soldiers and 10 civilians have died so far. Meanwhile, tough rhetoric is also happening from both the sides. Blasts were seen in Ukraine after Vladimir Putin ordered the attack. Plumes of smoke were seen in many cities. Missiles and bombs rained from the sky from the Russian side, in which the army suffered heavy losses. 40 Ukrainian soldiers have been killed in the attack. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s adviser has confirmed 40 Ukrainian soldiers were killed in a Russian attack. He said that more than a dozen soldiers were also injured.
The Russian Defense Ministry said it was not targeting cities but was using precision weapons and claimed the attack did not pose any threat to the civilian population. Yet attacks on Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv have all been reported in the east of Ukraine. There have also been reports of explosions in Zhytomyr and Lviv, near the border with Poland in the west.
There are reports of explosions and airstrikes in Liv. Hundreds of casualties have been reported by Ukraine’s Interior Ministry. A horrifying video showed a cyclist being hit by a bullet in Uman in the Cherkasy region in central Ukraine and piling up there. Reports said that one civilian was killed and five others were injured.
