Kohli challenged the umpire’s decision
New Delhi. Was Virat Kohli out or not out? A debate has erupted regarding this. There has been a controversy over the way RCB’s star batsman Virat Kohli was given out in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Eden Gardens Stadium in Kolkata. Kohli was looking in good form in this match. He was caught by fast bowler Harshit Rana on the first ball of the third over of RCB’s innings. After this the field umpire declared Virat out. Kohli looked angry with this decision of the field umpire and because he felt that this ball was a no ball because the height of the ball was above his waist. He demanded DRS immediately. However, DRS also went against Kohli. After this, Virat got angry and got into a fight with the field umpire. He returned to the pavilion very angry.
Controversy has arisen over the manner of Virat Kohli’s dismissal. When the ball was bowled by Harshit Rana, Kohli was out of the crease and he was standing on his toes. In the replays the ball was visible much above his waist. Even the commentators were surprised to see the umpire’s decision. Because in the replays it was clearly visible that the ball was above his waist. Kohli played this full toss ball of Harshit and the ball went up, after which Harshit caught it in his follow through. After this the umpire also raised his finger. After which Kohli demanded DRS. Kohli kept arguing with the umpire in the middle of the field for a long time but he got no benefit from it.
