Dehradun: Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said on Tuesday that an interim ban has been imposed on land mafias in Uttarakhand buying land with bad intentions in the name of agriculture and horticulture, but those buying land for setting up industries are welcome in the state. Addressing the ‘Cheli Bwaryun Kautik’ Matrishakti Utsav program organized in Kapkot area of Bageshwar, the Chief Minister made it clear, “The state government has put an interim ban on the indiscriminate purchase of land by outsiders in the name of agriculture and horticulture in Uttarakhand.” This ban has been imposed on land mafia and those who buy land with wrong intentions. ,
Ban on outsiders buying land
However, he said that if anyone buys land for business, industry or any startup, which will benefit the local people, then he is welcome in Uttarakhand. In a high-level meeting regarding land law held under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister on Sunday, an interim ban was imposed on outsiders purchasing land for agriculture and horticulture. It was said in the order, “On the instructions of the Chief Minister, it has been decided in the interest of the state and in the public interest that till the submission of the report by the Land Law Committee or till further orders, the District Magistrate will not allow persons from outside Uttarakhand to purchase land for the purpose of agriculture and horticulture.” Will not be allowed in the proposal.
Contribution of mother power also mentioned
The Chief Minister also mentioned the contribution of mother power in the development of Uttarakhand and said that the overall development of the society or nation is possible only with their cooperation. He also emphasized on educating mother power and said that daughters illuminate two houses with their knowledge and before ‘Kanyadan’ which has the status of the greatest virtue in Indian culture, we should do ‘Vidyadaan’. During the festival, the Chief Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of development schemes of various departments worth about Rs 100 crore. He inspected the stalls set up by various departments and self-help groups. During this time, he himself also made artwork in copper utensils and a ringal basket. (Language)
