New Delhi. Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Wednesday called for economic nationalism, saying the temptation to make ‘quick money’ by importing foreign goods could snatch away employment opportunities from millions of Indian manufacturers. She emphasized that empowering women is today’s investment and the future of the world. Women will have to take their own rights and go far ahead. Addressing the FICCI Ladies Organization (FLO) here, Dhankhar said that by promoting equal opportunities, breaking down barriers and amplifying the voices and achievements of women “we create a society that is not only fair and equitable, but also prosperous and It is also durable.”
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar said that economic nationalism is as important as nationalism because it will help the country save foreign exchange. The Vice President said that no one should be tempted to make a quick buck at the expense of the country by importing the same goods which are being manufactured in India. He believes that the employment of lakhs of local manufacturers is being taken away due to import of such goods.

On the other hand, in another case on Wednesday, Delhi High Court has rejected the petition against the arrest of CM Arvind Kejriwal. The court, while refusing to grant relief to the CM, said that during the custody, the ED will have to collect some facts, which it would like to present before the court during the hearing. These facts will be important for this petition also. We cannot take a decision on this without listening to the ED. The next hearing of the case will be on April 3.
