New Delhi. India’s largest carmaker Tata Motors has not suffered any loss in sales even after the end of the festive season. On one hand, while companies like Maruti Suzuki have lost 9% in sales during November 2021, on the other hand Tata Motors has gained 38% in sales in the same month. The company has sold 29,778 units in the last month, compared to 21,641 units in November last year. In such a situation, it is clear that while the sales of many companies have come down due to the end of the festive season, it has not affected Tata Motors and the company is performing well in terms of sales.
Commercial vehicle sales also benefited
If we talk about the sale of commercial vehicles of Tata Motors during November 2021, then the company has also benefited in this. The company sold a total of 28,295 units last month, which is a record. The company had sold 26,218 units during November in 2020. In such a situation, the company has made a total profit of 8% on the sale of commercial vehicles in November this year as compared to November last year. Also, in November 2021, the company shipped 3,950 commercial vehicles from its local facility with a 124% increase in sales as against 1,764 units sold in November last year. This has resulted in a 15% increase in sales over the year. On the other hand, MHCV including MHCV trucks, buses and international business sales stood at 9,505 units in November 202 as against 6,340 units in November 2020, which also benefited. Also, the company sold 21,228 units of passenger vehicles in November last year, registering a growth of 32% to 28,027 units in November this year.
Nexon EV also benefited
Tata sold 1,751 units of the Nexon EV last month, up 324% from 413 units sold in the same month last year. Due to the increasing popularity and demand for electric vehicles in the country, Tata Motors benefited from the sales of Nexon electric cars. Along with this, the company has also made a profit of 38% on the sale of cumulative passenger vehicles.
