New Delhi. On Tuesday, Iran conducted a surgical strike inside Pakistan’s border and bombed the positions of Balochi terrorist group Jaish-al-Adl. After this incident, Pakistan, the haven of terrorism, is completely shaken. After this big incident, everyone wants to know whether this Balochi terrorist organization is Jaish-al-Adal? And what does this have to do with Iran? India Today quoted sources as saying that this is the same organization which had kidnapped Indian businessman Kulbhushan Jadhav and brought him from Iran to the border of Pakistan.
Kulbhushan Jadhav was kidnapped in the year 2016, after which the Pakistan Army arrested him. Pakistan’s military court has sentenced Jadhav to death. However, this matter later reached the International Court also. The report said that the kidnapping of businessman Kulbhushan Jadhav by Jaish al-Adal brought the terrorist group on the radar of Indian intelligence agencies. Intel agencies said Jadhav was allegedly sold by Jaish al-Adl to Pakistan’s Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) for monetary transactions.

Threat of dire consequences
Jaish al-Adl or Jaish al-Adl is in the news again after Iran launched unprecedented missile and drone strikes targeting the Sunni militant group’s hideouts in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. Pakistan claimed that two children were killed in the attack, calling it a violation of its airspace and warned Iran of dire consequences. The attack comes amid a deepening crisis in the Middle East, where Israel is embroiled in a war with the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas in Gaza.

What is the meaning of Jaish ul-Adl?
Jaish al-Adl, meaning ‘Army of Justice’, operates in the Sistan-Baluchistan region of Pakistan. The area lies near the nearly 900 km long shared border between Iran and Pakistan and has long been a matter of concern for both governments. Not only Iran but also America considers Jaish al-Adl as a terrorist organization. This group works on both sides of the Pak-Iran international border. In the past too, this group has attacked the Iranian army several times. It is said that this Sunni terrorist group has about 500-600 fighters.
11 soldiers killed in Iran’s police station
CNN quoted Tasnim news agency as saying that last month it was claimed that Jaish al-Adl terrorists had attacked a police station in Sistan, killing 11 Iranian officers. Jaish al-Adl was born from the Sunni terrorist group Jundallah, which translates to ‘Soldiers of Allah’. For a decade from 2000–2010, Jundallah was involved in a violent insurgency against Iran. However, the group suffered a major setback when Iran captured Jundallah’s leader, Abdolmalek Rigi, and executed him in 2010.
