A small village in Karnataka has become a subject of curiosity among the foreign media for a few years.
Why did the crowd of people coming from outside increase here in a few years and many big buildings were built, which were closely guarded?
No one can enter here because a high wall has been built around it and there is tight security,
A new city being built in Karnataka has been a subject of curiosity among the foreign media for the last few years. Media from Pakistan to America believe that this city of India is being prepared, where India’s nuclear weapons will be prepared. The way land was secretly acquired from many villages for this. Then within no time a high wall was built on a large area.
So which city is this? Why is the foreign media calling it India’s secret nuclear city? Why has the crowd of people coming here from outside increased so quickly in the last few years? Why are more laborers from outside coming here and working here? Is this really a city being built which has its own mystery or which is being built for a special purpose?
Now let us know what and where this place is. Its name is Challakere. A very small village station. Which no one ever took notice of, but now trains have started stopping here and more people have started alighting. This is in southern Karnataka. The name of the district in which it is located is Chitradurga.
what will happen at this place
Foreign media believe that India is building a secret nuclear city here, where new work related to nuclear weapons manufacturing, uranium purification, research and rocket-missiles will take place. Although India has denied this, but a few years ago a senior official of the nuclear program had said that it is possible that India may process uranium fuel here.
Which four institutions are being built here
Till now work is going on day and night within 10000 acres of land. Four such institutions are being created simultaneously, which will simultaneously play a role in carrying out India’s strategic programme. These four are the top science and research institutions of the country.
All four are being made in such a way that after the start of work in the future, there will be strong coordination so that the future needs of the country related to science and research can not only be met rapidly but the country can also be strengthened.
This is Challakere village of Karnataka, where a city is being built by working day and night on a large scale.
Then I realized what was going to happen here
In the year 2009, when the land of farmers started being acquired on a large scale, the people of the area took refuge in the Bengaluru High Court, where the Karnataka government had to provide information as to what use this land would be used for.
Out of this, 4290 acres of land has been given to DRDO i.e. Defense Research and Development Organization. 1500 acres of land to Indian Institute of Science. 573 acres of land has been allotted to Indian Space Research Organization and 1810 acres to Bhabha Atomic Research Centre. Some remaining area went to Karnataka Small Scale Industries Development Corporation.
In the year 2011, the Government of India announced that the purpose of giving land to these four institutions together is that India’s future projects can be developed in a safe and peaceful place. This place was named Science City. Here DRDO will run advanced programs of airspace and missile technology.

Will future weapons be developed here?
If America’s famous magazine “Foreign Policy” Consider this, which published a huge report some time ago on how India is building a secret nuclear city in Challakere, where future weapons with atomic bombs will be developed.
This huge complex will be operated for programs related to military activities. It will have various types of laboratories, which will not only conduct nuclear research but will also work as weapons production and aircraft testing facilities.
The Government of India has called this city being built as Science City.
In this city, work will be done to make fuel for our nuclear reactors and the campaign to equip the country’s submarine fleet with nuclear power will be carried out.
Work started in 2012
Work started overnight in Chillakere in 2012. There was anger among the villagers when they saw that barbed wire fences had been erected around their fields and houses. The direction of the village road has been changed. A lot of machines started appearing. After a few days, a solid boundary wall was built. Which was so high that it was not even known what was being built inside.
Major website of South India newsminutes.com Published reports that people protested against being evicted from their lands. But all of this was to no avail. Its work is expected to be completed within a year or two. This is also an area of Karnataka where more than a hundred farmers have committed suicide due to drought.
India’s ambitious project
,‘Foreign Policy” According to the report, this is an ambitious project. By the way, this report is by an author named Adrian Levy, who has written the famous book related to Pakistan’s nuclear program, “Deception Pakistan, the United States and the Secret Trade in Nuclear Weapons”.
This was the condition of Challakere village in the year 2009.
What do experts say
Adrian, the author of the report in “Foreign Policy”, also talked to some experts, according to whom, if India is developing nuclear projects, then it means that in future through this it will be able to get additional reserves of refined uranium, which can be used. It is found in hydrogen bombs or thermo nuclear weapons.
Western media suspect that after its construction, India will gain greater strength in nuclear capability – it will be able to make much larger and deadlier nuclear weapons.
Stockholm Institute estimates that India currently has 90 to 110 nuclear weapons, Pakistan has the capacity of 120 while China has 260. There is a possibility of it increasing further in future.
This is happening in only three countries of the world
“Foreign Policy” magazine quoted Australian nuclear expert John Carlson as saying that only three countries in the world are still producing the components required for nuclear weapons – India, Pakistan and North Korea. Carlson says that India’s thermonuclear program has reached such an advanced stage that in this matter it can be considered at par with Britain, America, Russia, France and China.
