Chennai. Criminals adopt various tactics to smuggle gold but are unable to escape from the police and agencies. Especially, foreign travelers are often caught at the airport on charges of gold smuggling. Customs officials at Tiruchirappalli International Airport in Tamil Nadu recovered 1.421 kg of 24 carat gold from a foreign woman.
According to news agency ANI, the value of the seized gold is said to be Rs 99.18 lakh. This Malaysian woman was trying to go through the green channel at the arrival hall. It is surprising that this woman had hidden the gold in such a place that no one could even imagine.

Gold was hidden in undergarments
Actually, this Malaysian woman had hidden more than 1 kilogram of gold in the form of paste in her undergarments. He had traveled from Kuala Lumpur to Trichy by Air India Express flight on April 5. After the arrest of the woman, further investigation is underway.

Earlier in March last month, gold smugglers were caught at Mumbai Airport. These smugglers had kept the gold hidden in their rectum for smuggling. The smugglers were confident that if they hid the gold at such a place, the customs officials would not be able to find it easily.
