Woman’s Day 2022: Varun Sharma. Gwalior. Seema Manyavar, 34, was spending her life in women’s shelter homes in Gwalior for five years. The story of Seema related to three kingdoms will have a happy ending, she will be able to meet her family members, she had not even dreamed of it. But this was possible due to the hard work and extensive contacts of Vibha Aneja, a social worker from Gwalior. After meeting Seema, Vibha not only found out the address of her house in three days but also took her to her house a thousand kilometers away (Ranidevnagar of Adilabad, Telangana) in a month. Now Seema is with her family.
About five years ago, Seema was rescued from the 34-year-old Seema Manyavar Gwalior railway station after taking only seven hundred rupees after getting upset over the quarrels with her in-laws in Jhansi, UP. Seema did not remember her home address very well and the government system also never tried to find out and take her to her home. In fact, after being rescued from the railway station, the police handed over Seema to the Women and Child Development Department and after that she was kept in women’s shelter homes here. Seema was in a state of shock initially. She knew Telugu language and knew Hindi and English to a minimum. The counselors did not understand his language and it did not take much effort to know his home. In November 2021, social worker Vibha Aneja reached the women’s home and here Seema asked her to walk in broken Hindi. Vibha learned everything about Seema and applied for the rehabilitation and brought it with her. On 29 December, Seema, who reached Adilabad with the Vibha border, was reunited with her family.
Vibha has done what the system could not do.
Vibha Aneja had the stubbornness and passion to help Seema. The system didn’t care but Vibha didn’t give up. Vibha’s stubbornness showed Seema mixing her with her loved ones. It was not easy to talk to the police himself, from talking about the boundary on video call to leaving himself.
such a ray of hope
When Vibha Aneja spoke lovingly to Seema and tried to understand the matter, she uttered the word Adilabad from Seema’s mouth, which was not clearly understood. Searched through internet but without success. Vibha goes to Shirdi Darshan every month. During this, when Vibha asked her friend from Nagpur about Adilabad, she told that it is on the Maharashtra/Telangana border. It comes in Telangana. From here I found the number of Adilabad police, contacted. Seema’s house got to know from the police. On the video call, Seema also got the family talking.
Seema was brought to her house, for which a lot of effort had to be made. She had been living here for five years, could reach home earlier but could not speak because of the language and because of her fear. It has been a great pleasure meeting his family.
