Mandla (New Zealand Representative). District level event of International Women’s Day was organized in the premises of Rani Durgavati Mahavidyalaya. Women who did excellent work were also felicitated on the occasion. Addressing the district level program, the Rajya Sabha MP started his address with the words ‘Yatra Naryastu Pujyante, Ramante Tatra Devta’. He appreciated the increasing participation of women in various activities including politics, administration, sports. Mrs Uike said that every day is special for women, but International Women’s Day is special for all of us. He appreciated the ‘Gyanalaya program’ organized by the Women and Child Development Department to make illiterate women literate by the educated women of the village under the guidance of Collector Harshika Singh. In her address, District Panchayat President Saraswati Maravi said that women are the foremost among the most beautiful creations of God. May all the sisters get success in their respective fields. Municipal President Purnima Shukla said that women have made steps of success by moving forward in every field.

The Collector said that it is a happy coincidence that the district is dominated by women representatives from Panchayat to Rajya Sabha. Similarly, women officers are also posted on important administrative posts of the district. He said that the sex ratio in Mandla district is also positive. Therefore, it can be said that Mandla district is a wonderful example of women empowerment. The program was addressed by the District Panchayat CEO Rani Batad giving a congratulatory message. Similarly, ADM Meena Masram also told women to have special awareness about health. SDM Niwas Shivali Singh gave tips on managing stress and being happy to all the women on the occasion of Women’s Day. Similarly, SDOP Nainpur Akanksha Chaturvedi recited poetry while giving her views on women empowerment. Naib Tehsildar Sheetal Chandravanshi and Sakshi Shukla also expressed their views on the occasion of Women’s Day. Earlier, the welcome speech of the program was given by Nidhi Agarwal. He also gave information about schemes related to women empowerment and health.
