India is fast turning into an app-first country. Now indigenous developers are taking an active part in the app market. Usually, as app developers, you would name a man, but if you were asked how many female app developers you know, you might have to google. You will be surprised to know that as fast as the market for app development is growing in India, the number of women developers is also increasing rapidly. Many women in India have the passion to move ahead professionally, but lack of two things is preventing them from moving forward. Sometimes they get a chance, they don’t have the skill in that sense and if they have the skill, they don’t get the opportunity. Keeping this in mind, IIT graduate Ayushi Sinha has launched Alipo Learning. Ayushi is also the co-founder of this app. Alipo Learning has been designed for Indian women to learn, grow and bring their home businesses together. Regarding her app, Ayushi says, ‘We need a better platform to enhance the skills of women. Alipo is one such platform where women learn, make friends and clear their doubts together. The app has got a rating of 4.9 on the Play Store. According to Ayushi, more than three lakh women have joined this app so far.
Kutuki
The Kutuki app is designed for basic English and math problem solving. This app is designed by Sneha Sundaram. The Kutuki app has been developed to teach maths and English to pre-school children through stories and music. The best part is that this app has been designed by a team of teachers, artists, musicians and storytellers. This app supports 6 Indian languages. On Google Play, Kutuki has crossed over 1 million downloads and aims to be the most widely used preschool app across India.
Language Curry
Language Curry is about to take the local Indian languages to a new level. This app has been developed by Vatsala Sharma and Anisha Jyoti. Language Curry is a language learning app that focuses exclusively on Indian languages. So far this app has been downloaded by 1 million people and its users are in 180 countries. You can download this app from Google Play Store for free.
SEROES
SHEROES is an app designed to help women entrepreneurs. It has been prepared by Sairee Chahal. If a woman starts a small business with less resources, then the SEROES app can help her a lot. Through this app, she can reach millions of customers. It is a kind of shopping app on which women can list their products. It has over 1 million downloads on Google Play today.
