Yash Dhul: After making the Indian U-19 team champions, 19-year-old Yash Dhul created a flutter by scoring centuries in both the innings of his first Ranji Trophy match. The Delhi player became the third batsman after Nari Contractor (1952/53) and Virag Awate (2012/13) to score centuries in both innings of his Ranji Trophy debut. Playing for Delhi in Guwahati, he scored 113 and 113 not out against Tamil Nadu.
Yash Dhul presented a fine example of how well a cricketer can adapt to the needs of the team. Raj Kumar Sharma, who has coached Virat Kohli, believes that Yash Dhul can be included in the Indian team in future.
Shahrukh Khan: Shahrukh Khan of Tamil Nadu has got a chance to join the Indian cricket team, but till now he has not got a chance to play. Shahrukh was added to the team for the first ODI against West Indies after Shikhar Dhawan, Rituraj Gaikwad, Shreyas Iyer and Navdeep Saini got corona infected.
Shahrukh did not debut in international cricket, but this player from Tamil Nadu was bought by Punjab Kings in the IPL auction for nine crore rupees. The team had bought Shahrukh last year for Rs 5.25 crore. The Tamil Nadu batsman then scored 153 runs in 11 matches at a strike rate of 134.21 with the highest score of 47.
