A five-point action plan has been prepared by the Health Department to eradicate TB. Such a system is being made so that patients will not be able to leave the treatment in the middle. Therefore, the chances of getting multi drug resistant TB will be less.
Monitoring system is being further improved. According to the Board’s Additional Director Health and Family Welfare Dr. GK Mishra, even during COVID, the drug supply chain could not be disrupted, it has got the benefit. Early screening of a TB patient will be a priority.
Here is the 5 point action plan-
Registration of more and more patients, medicines to the patients of private doctors also.
Drug sensitivity test before treatment of every patient.
The drug supply chain will not break in the middle.
HIV test of -100% patients.
– Visit of officials to the patients’ homes.
