Balika Samriddhi Yojana was launched by the Central Government to give a better future to girls. This scheme was started in the year 1997 by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. Under this scheme, girls from families living below the poverty line are benefited. Under the Balika Samridhi Yojana, the government provides financial assistance to girls from birth to education.
In this, the government provides financial assistance of Rs 500 to the mother after the birth of the first child. After this the government provides continuous financial assistance for the education of girls till class 10th.
Some important documents are mandatory to avail the benefits of this scheme. Which includes Aadhaar card, ration card, birth certificate, identity card of parents, income certificate, residence certificate, bank passbook details, passport size photo.
To avail the benefits of this scheme, application can be given both online and offline. To apply offline, the form can be obtained by visiting the nearest Anganwadi center or health service center. Under this scheme, girls from rural and urban areas are helped through various processes.
