Dr Anjana told anytv.com that there are no shortcuts to success in life and the same formula applies when we take a pledge to lose weight. For weight loss we need to follow those things which are doable or practically possible in the long run.
Dr. Anjana told that first and foremost we should understand that what we eat and when we eat is more important than how much we eat. For this, he has given some tips that can be beneficial for those who are trying to lose weight. Let’s know-
According to Dr. Anjana Kalia, one should never skip breakfast for weight loss, as breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Breakfast helps in increasing our metabolic rate which in turn helps in better weight loss. Apart from this, our metabolism remains correct by eating small meals again and again in the day. It may not be a complete diet, but it can be taken as a snack in between main meals like fruit or salad or green tea with makhana or buttermilk etc.
Doctor Anjana says that try to have early and light dinner at night. Due to our hectic lifestyle and irregular working time, dinner is badly affected. Still try to manage the time as early in the evening as possible, as well as try to keep your dinner as light as possible. Drink plenty of water and keep yourself hydrated. 70% of our body is water so we need to keep ourselves hydrated. We need 2-3 liters of water daily. Hydration also helps us maintain a good metabolism
According to Dr Anjana, the most important aspect that helps in weight loss is sleep. This is one fatcore that is given the least importance in the weight loss journey. Sleep is the time when our body works on cleaning our cells. Good quality sleep is an important pillar of weight loss. Diet + exercise + sleep is the most important tripod for weight loss.
