Passed UPSC exam for the second time in a row
Mamta Yadav, who dreamed of flying high to get the title of topper, was preparing for civil services exam for 4 years. In the year 2019, Mamta Yadav had secured 556th rank across the country; But his dream was to become an IAS. The parents encouraged and Mamta started trying once again.
After getting selected in the year 2019, she started training for the Indian Railway Personnel Service, but Mamta was not satisfied with it. So Mamta tried again and this time she managed to become an IAS officer by securing 5th rank in All India.
UPSC exam preparation done in this way
After 12th, Mamta Yadav graduated from Delhi University and started preparing for UPSC as soon as college was over. Mamta did self-study with coaching and her strategy worked. Mamta took the help of NCERT and other standard books for UPSC exam preparation.
In an interview given to the media, Mamta says that earlier I used to study for 8 to 10 hours a day, but there was something missing somewhere. So this time to achieve my goal, I did self-study for 10 to 12 hours every day and finally achieved my goal.

Mamta Yadav brought laurels not only to the family but also to the region by securing 5th rank across the country in this difficult examination. Mamta Yadav has also passed SSC exam before this.
Mother housewife, father doing private job
Ashok Yadav, father of Mamta Yadav, a resident of Basai village, works in a private company, while her mother Saroj Yadav is a housewife. Mamta’s entire education has been done in Delhi itself. Mamta Yadav studied till 12th from Balwant Rai Mehta School, GK (Greater Kailash) Delhi, then graduated from Hindu College, DU (University of Delhi).

Talking to the media, Mamta Yadav’s mother Saroj said that she did not expect that her daughter would go so far. Her father gave the credit of daughter’s success to Mamta’s mother. The father told that Mamta has proudly held her head high. The special thing is that she is the first girl from her village, who studied and got success in UPSC.
