Researchers recommend drinking at least 240 ml of pomegranate juice, or 1 cup of pomegranate juice, to reduce diastolic blood pressure. It is believed that pomegranate juice can slow the build-up of cholesterol in the arteries, thereby reducing the risk of heart disease.
How to consume pomegranate juice: Consuming pomegranate juice without adding sugar will benefit health. Adding sugar to pomegranate juice increases calories in it, which reduces the benefit to the heart by consuming it. If pomegranate is not available, you can consume packaged juice. Before buying packaged juice, make sure that you are drinking pure pomegranate juice and not a juice mix with added sugar.
