1) Chamoli
Chamoli district is the second largest district of Uttarakhand state of India. Hemkund Sahib and Badrinath, both are in Chamoli district. Tibet is bounded by the region and Uttarakhand districts of Pithoragarh and Bageshwar in the east, Almora in the south, Garhwal in the south-west, Rudraprayag in the west and Uttarkashi in the north-west.
2) Gwaldam
Gwaldam is the best city on the border of Garhwal and Kumaon. Amidst lush green forest and apple orchards, it is situated at an altitude of 40 km from Kausani. Here one can enjoy the beautiful view of Gwaldam Himalayan peaks Nanda Devi, Trishul and Nanda Ghunti.
3) Sitlakhet
Sitalakhet is a tourist place where Rani’s meadow is about 24 km from ‘Ranikhet’. Sitlakhet at an altitude of 1900 meters on Devi hills is one of the best places to visit in Kumaon Himalayas. One can enjoy the views of Chaukhamba peaks from this off-beat place.
4) Chaukori
Chaukori is a hill station in Pithoragarh district, located in the Kumaon division of Uttarakhand, at the height of the Western Himalayan range.
5) Dharchula
Dharchula is a town located in the Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand state. Dharchula is a small and remote place and it is along an ancient trade route through the Himalayan Mountains.
