States can play an active role in achieving this goal as they are directly connected to the people,” the Aayog quoted Modi as saying on social media platform ‘X’. He said this decade is a decade of technological and geopolitical changes as well as opportunities.

The Prime Minister said, “India should take advantage of these opportunities and make its policies conducive to international investment. This is the way to progress towards making India a developed country.” The meeting focuses on making India a developed nation by 2047. The objective of this meeting is to promote participatory operation and cooperation between the central and state governments, strengthen the delivery mechanism and enhance the quality of life for both rural and urban population. The Governing Council, the apex body of NITI Aayog, includes Chief Ministers of all states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories and several Union Ministers. The Prime Minister is the Chairman of NITI Aayog. The meeting will also consider the recommendations of the Third National Conference of Chief Secretaries held in December last year.
