For the next few days, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains for many states. The areas likely to be affected include East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Karnataka, West Madhya Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, East Rajasthan, South Interior Karnataka and Uttarakhand. Apart from this, very heavy rains are also expected in the coastal areas of Central Maharashtra. At the same time, the scene of devastation can be seen due to heavy rains in Uttarakhand. Talking about Gujarat and Maharashtra, rivers are in spate due to continuous rains. There is a flood-like situation in many districts. Rainwater has entered everything from homes to shops. Heavy rains continued in Maharashtra on Saturday as well, due to which normal life has been disrupted in many areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain and lightning at isolated places in eastern north-west Madhya Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands to north-western Himachal Pradesh, south Haryana, Telangana, south Chhattisgarh, eastern MP, Sikkim, eastern Bihar, Kerala and Lakshadweep. Whereas Uttarakhand may receive rain between 28 and 30 July.

It rained in the country’s capital Delhi on Saturday as well. However, the humid heat continues even after the rain. The Meteorological Department had issued a yellow alert for Saturday but it rained only at a few places. The Meteorological Department has predicted light rain at some places today as well. At the same time, a yellow alert has been issued for July 30 and 31.

During the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with isolated heavy falls is possible over East Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, parts of Western Himalayas, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Odisha, Konkan and Goa, Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Light to moderate rain is possible over Jharkhand, West Bengal, Northeast India, parts of Odisha, West Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Telangana, Kerala, Lakshadweep, eastern parts of Gujarat and Jammu and Kashmir. Light rain is possible over West Rajasthan, Saurashtra and Kutch, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
