In 2009, Nikhat started professional training in boxing from Dronacharya Award winner coach Venkateshwar Rao in Hyderabad, from where her career also got a different turn.

Nikhat Zareen participated in the Junior and Youth World Championships in 2011, where she gave a different flight to her career after winning the gold medal. After this, Nikhat also managed to win the silver medal in the Youth World Championship in 2013. In the year 2022, Nikhat won the biggest event of her boxing career so far in which she won the gold medal by defeating Thailand’s boxer Jutamas Jitpong in the final match of the World Championship.
