NITI Aayog CEO told whole story on Mamata Banerjee's allegations: We gave Mamata Banerjee a chance to speak ahead of time and… NITI Aayog CEO told the whole story

New Delhi. Now NITI Aayog CEO BVR Subramaniam has denied the allegations of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee of being given less time to present her views in the NITI Aayog meeting and that the mike was switched off, and explained the whole matter in detail. NITI Aayog CEO Subramaniam said, West Bengal Chief Minister, while being present in the meeting, had requested to present her views before lunch. Usually we give everyone a chance to present their views in alphabetical order. We adjusted it and gave her a chance to speak first. Just before the Gujarat Chief Minister spoke, Defense Minister took Mamata Banerjee’s name, so she presented her views.

The CEO said that each CM was given seven minutes to present his point. There is a clock on the top of the screen which tells you the remaining time. So it goes from seven to six, five, four and three. At the end of that it shows zero and nothing else. Even the bell was not rung after the time was over. Apart from this nothing else happened. After this Mamata Banerjee said that look I wanted to speak for some more time but I will not speak anymore, and nothing else happened. We all listened. They presented their points and we listened to them respectfully and took notes. Now in such a situation Mamata’s allegation that she was given less time is completely wrong.

Earlier, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman had also denied Mamata Banerjee’s allegations and clarified what happened during the meeting. Talking about the Chief Ministers who did not attend the meeting, the CEO of NITI Aayog said that a lot of people left at the last moment just before the meeting. For those who did not attend the meeting, I always say that it is their loss.
