New Delhi: The meeting of the NITI Aayog Governing Council is to be held in the country’s capital Delhi on Saturday, that is, today at 10 am under the chairmanship of PM Modi. There is a lot of politics going on regarding this meeting being held in Delhi. Let us tell you that the Chief Ministers of the states of the INDIA block have boycotted this meeting, calling the Union Budget against the states. However, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has reached Delhi to attend this meeting. Another Chief Minister of the INDI alliance, Hemant Soren, will also attend today’s NITI Aayog meeting.

‘If my words are heard then it is fine, otherwise…’

Mamata Banerjee has said that she will put forth the problems and needs of Bengal in the Niti Aayog meeting. If she is heard, it is fine, otherwise she will leave the meeting midway. In Delhi, Mamata Banerjee held a meeting with Trinamool Congress MPs, then went to Arvind Kejriwal’s house and met his wife Sunita Kejriwal. After this, Mamata said that she will definitely attend the Niti Aayog meeting but her opinion is that Niti Aayog should be dissolved because it has no authority.

‘They call a meeting to show their face’

Mamata Banerjee said, ‘I have raised my voice once again to close this Niti Ayog. They have no financial powers. They can’t do anything. They call a meeting once a year to show their face. Please bring back the Planning Commission. The Planning Commission should be the real infrastructure of the country, like it used to be earlier. This was Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s plan, and since independence, this Planning Commission has done a lot of work for the country and the states.’

What is the agenda of the Niti Aayog meeting
