Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 9th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog on Saturday, July 27. In this, the document ‘Developed India @ 2047’ will be discussed to make India a developed country. A senior government official gave this information on Friday. According to the news of Bhasha, the council, the highest body of NITI Aayog, includes the Chief Ministers of all the states, Lieutenant Governors of Union Territories and many Union Ministers. The Prime Minister is the Chairman of NITI Aayog.
This target is till 2047
According to the news, the official said that a vision document is being prepared to help India become a developed economy of US $ 30 trillion by 2047, the 100th year of its independence. In 2023, NITI Aayog was tasked with creating a unified vision for Developed India @ 2047 by consolidating 10 sectoral thematic approaches. This vision includes various aspects of development including economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability and good governance.
These Chief Ministers will not attend the meeting
Meanwhile, chief ministers of three Congress-ruled states – Karnataka’s Siddaramaiah, Himachal Pradesh’s Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu and Telangana’s Revanth Reddy – have announced that they will not attend the Niti Aayog meeting due to alleged bias against their states in the Union Budget. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK leader MK Stalin, Kerala CM and CPI(M) leader Pinarayi Vijayan, as well as the Aam Aadmi Party-led Punjab and Delhi governments have also announced to boycott the meeting.
Mamta Banerjee canceled her program
West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, who was scheduled to come to Delhi to attend the meeting on Thursday, cancelled her plans. It is not clear whether she will attend the meeting on Saturday. Biju Janata Dal (BJD) MP Sasmit Patra has supported the decision taken by the opposition parties and accused the Centre of not giving the states their share in the budget. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) MP Mahua Maji has said that her party will take a decision based on the interests of the state. JMM is a constituent of the India Block.
