While PV Sindhu led the parade of nations as the female flag bearer from India’s side in the opening ceremony of Paris Olympics, table tennis player Sharath Kamal led the male flag bearer. A 6 km long route has been kept in this opening ceremony organized on the Seine river. Indian athletes will be seen in action on the first day of the Paris Olympics on July 27 with the opening ceremony. Apart from this, the hockey team will also start its campaign in which it will face the New Zealand team, which will be the focus of all eyes. The Indian hockey team managed to win the bronze medal in the Tokyo Olympics 2020, in which an even better performance is expected from them this time.
