Rain wreaks havoc in Maharashtra and Gujarat

The department has issued an orange alert warning of heavy rain in Mumbai, Palghar, Thane and Ratnagiri. Apart from this, an orange alert has been issued regarding heavy rain in Dehradun. In such a situation, people have been appealed to be cautious. The rain is also affecting the traffic. The speed of trains has reduced. Many flights have been diverted and many flights have had to be cancelled.

Monsoon’s fierce avatar in these states

Monsoon has started showing its fierce form in Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. At the same time, a yellow alert for rain has been issued in West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Karnataka and Arunachal Pradesh.
