Jaipur. The Bhajan Lal government of the state is going to give a booster dose to Rajasthan Roadways to revive its fleet. Under this, 510 new buses will be added to the fleet of junk buses of Rajasthan Roadways. Rajasthan Roadways has already received five new buses as its first consignment. These buses have been allotted to Bharatpur, Lohagarh and Vaishalinagar depots of Roadways. It is being claimed that all 510 buses will be received in the next three months. They will be allotted to different depots as per the requirement.
Rajasthan Roadways has got a new gift this year. The Roadways administration has purchased 510 buses. Out of them, 5 buses have been received by the Roadways administration. Recently, Deputy CM and Transport Minister Premchand Bairwa flagged off these buses. All these new buses are of BS-6 standard. They will be operated especially in Delhi and NCR area.
For the first time, BS-6 standard buses have been included
Transport Minister Bairwa said that the Roadways administration had issued a work order to Tata Company for the purchase of 510 buses in the month of February. Out of these, the chassis of more than 100 buses have been received by the Roadways administration. Out of these, the bodies of five buses have been prepared and handed over to the Roadways. For the first time, BS-6 standard buses have been included in the fleet of Rajasthan Roadways.
132 more buses will arrive soon
According to Transport Minister Bairwa, 132 more buses will be added to the Roadways fleet in the coming days. VTS system has been installed in these buses to know their location. Panic buttons have been installed for women’s safety. For the first time, mobile charger sockets have also been installed in each row of the buses. It is worth mentioning that Rajasthan’s fleet currently includes about 2900 buses. More than half of them have become obsolete. But still they are running on the roads.
‘Samadhaan Portal’ has also been launched
Bairwa said that ‘Samadhaan Portal’ has also been launched to solve the problems of passengers. In this, the complaints of passengers can be resolved quickly. It has been prepared by the IT branch of Roadways. Passengers will be able to complain online on this portal. It will be necessary to enter the mobile number in it. The complaint will be resolved in a timely manner by the Roadways administration. The details of the action taken to resolve the complaint will be sent to the complainant through e-mail.
