Sai Ashok will become the youngest Indian referee in Paris Olympics

Paris Olympics 2024: Apart from the contingent of 117 athletes from India in the Paris Olympics 2024, a former Indian player has been given the responsibility of official in the boxing event. India’s former international boxing player Sai Ashok will be seen playing the role of referee in this event at the Paris Olympics. Sai Ashok will become the youngest Indian to participate in the Olympics as an official from India.

After 1904, a fourth Indian was made a referee in the Olympics

In the history of Olympics, Sai Ashok will be the fourth Indian to be given the responsibility of the role of referee after the year 1904. Sai Ashok, who worked as a boxing administrator at the Military Sports Institute in Pune, is also the first Indian to become the President of the World Military Boxing Council. He is the first person to represent India as a player and official in the World Championship event.

India hopes to win more medals in Paris Olympics

Talking about the 33rd Summer Olympics, for the first time the parade of nations is being organized in the river instead of the stadium, while for the first time the athletes will participate in the parade through boats. This time a team of 117 athletes is participating from India, most of whom are also among the contenders to win medals. The biggest name in this is Neeraj Chopra, who participated in the javelin throw event, who won the gold medal in the Tokyo Olympics and everyone is expecting the same performance from him this time too. The Paris Olympics is starting today from 26 July, but India’s campaign started from 25 July itself. India’s first medal event can be in shooting on 27 July, which will have a qualification round first. This time India is presenting its claim in 16 sports.
