Senior BJP leader and two-time Rajya Sabha MP Prabhat Jha passed away today i.e. on 26 July 2024 in a hospital in Gurugram. Let us tell you that Prabhat Jha was ill for a long time and was undergoing treatment in Gurugram. But today the sad news came that he passed away. According to BJP sources, his last rites will be performed in his native village in Bihar. After the death of Prabhat Jha, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav and Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief.

Madhya Pradesh CM expressed grief

State Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed grief over the death of Prabhat Jha. He tweeted on his Twitter handle, ‘Received the very sad news of the death of former state president of Bharatiya Janata Party Madhya Pradesh, senior leader respected Prabhat Jha ji. May Baba Mahakal give place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this terrible thunderbolt.’ He further wrote, your death is an irreparable loss for the political world. Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan expressed grief

Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan also expressed grief over the death of Prabhat Jha and wrote, ‘I am shocked and saddened to hear the news of the death of senior BJP leader, former state president of Madhya Pradesh, colleague Shri Prabhat Jha ji. He always worked for public welfare and the benefit of the people. His demise is a personal loss for me. I pray to God to give a place to the departed soul in his lotus feet and give strength to the family to bear this thunderbolt.’

How was Prabhat Jha’s political journey?

Prabhat Jha started his career as a journalist from Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh but later joined the BJP. After joining the BJP party, he became the president of the party’s Madhya Pradesh unit in 2010. After this, in the year 2008, Prabhat Jha was elected as a Rajya Sabha member from Madhya Pradesh and remained in the Upper House till 2020. In this way, he was elected to the Rajya Sabha twice. He also served as the National Vice President of BJP in 2015.
