New Delhi. You must remember that cute child from the 2001 film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ who won everyone’s heart with his innocence. That child was none other than actor Jibran Khan. Jibran Khan played the role of Shahrukh and Kajol’s son in the film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’. His acting as a child artist in this film was well-liked. 23 years after the release of his first film, Jibran Khan debuted as a lead actor with ‘Ishq Vishk Rebound’, but his first film flopped badly at the box office.
In a latest interview with Hindustan Times, Jibran Khan revealed that his journey in films was as difficult as that of any outsider. 30-year-old actor Jibran Khan said that even though his father was an actor, he remained completely away from the world of films. He further says, ‘If everything was so easy for me, then I should have been launched many years ago’.
Jibran further says about his struggle in the industry, ‘In 2 years, my first film ‘Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham’ will complete 25 years. It is clear how much time has passed between my two films. There are two parts of this industry and I belong to that part where there are no connections’.
Father did not provide work
The actor further says, ‘I remember when I was 20 years old and was very frustrated. I told my father Feroz Khan to take me to someone, you have worked with so many big people. People respect you, on which he said that Jibran I will take you, but if those people said that Feroz Bhai he does not look like an actor at all, then how would you feel about that? I think that was the turning point of my life.’
Father Firoz Khan had changed the name
Jibran Khan is the son of actor Firoz Khan aka Arjun. Firoz Khan played the role of ‘Arjun’ in BR Chopra’s ‘Mahabharata’. The actor was so impressed with ‘Mahabharata’ that he changed his name from Firoz Khan to Arjun.
